LOUISE HOOPER

LOUISE HOOPER is an acclaimed British drama director, recently selected by Amazon MGM Studios as one of their 25 female trailblazers.

Highly imaginative and innovative, Louise is currently lead director on Netflix & AGBO’s action thriller MERCENARY: AN EXTRACTION SERIES, starring Omar Sy.

Before that, Louise directed four episodes of RINGS OF POWER, LORD OF THE RINGS S2 for AMAZON. Lead director on the propulsive thriller TREASON for Netflix; directed both the finale and bonus episode of Neil Gaiman's SANDMAN S1 for Warner Bros / Netflix. Directed the Netflix hit THE WITCHER and turned her hand to the UK's most prestigious comedy, directing two gloriously surreal episodes of INSIDE NUMBER 9 for BBC.

Louise is celebrated for her infectious and collaborative energy on set. Her limited series include FLESH & BLOOD starring Academy nominees Imelda Staunton and Stephen Rae - 90% on Rotten Tomatoes, and CHEAT, the acclaimed 4 part thriller starring BAFTA leading actress Molly Windsor - 89% on Rotten Tomatoes. Louise began her career directing Arts documentaries for the BBC and was BAFTA nominated for OUR GAY WEDDING: THE MUSICAL.

Louise also turns her focus to producing her original slate for her company Louise Hooper Films.
