Unearthing previously unseen, private images of Hitler this films explore how his image was constructed by the photographers closest to him; including his mistress Eva Braun and Walter Frentz – the man who had the opportunity to assassinate Hitler in 1944, but chose not to.

Interviews include: Hanns Peter Frentz, the switch board operator Rochus Mish who was present when Hitler and Eva Braun commit suicide, and Gertraud Weisker, the cousin of Eva Braun, who stayed with her at the Berghof.
